Well last Thursday, while Mom was here, I took that first step.

The one famed in song and story. I went for help. I started with Weight Watchers.

I went for my second meeting tonight - after the last week of Christmas Dinner and really not having done anything. The only thing really being that we hardly ate out anywhere. But still with Christmas Dinner, and all the gluttony that goes with it I was fully prepared to have gained.

My Starting weight was 511.2

As of 5:30 pm EDT 12-27-07 I am now at 510.00

I am actually very excited about this and reading through the material it looks like one of the only programs I have ever seen that I feel like I can do because I get to eat. It just forces me to think differently about WHAT I eat.

I know I have whined about this for a long time. And it has been a driving negative factor for me for even longer. Something that Some who have known me longer know more so. To see even this little bit of improvement so soon I am just floored.

My New Years Resolution is that "I'm Worth It" not just in weight loss but in life. I am trying very hard to make the changes finally that I have whined and put off for far to long. And tell myself that I'm Worth It for me. In all things.

My 1st Target loss is 51.1 lbs. I would like to reach that goal but sometime around May or June. But if I don't then so be it, any loss is improvement. My Lifetime Goal is to loose approx 200-250 lbs. And I would like to see the 1st 100 gone by this time next year.

I Don't know if I will keep up posting this on here or not but Right now it seems like it will be an added drive for me to work hard at this and to hold myself accountable to me and not let me weasel out of it.

So.... here goes everything!

I woke up to what appeared to be cocaine on the counter top, so I couldn't resist to add some bullets to that scarface scene at 8:30 AM.

On the way to yoga I ran into a man feeding a duck, he is not much of a people person, but he feeds the ducks every morning.

It started raining, I jumped in the water and took a picture of the surface of the water from below, what you are seeing are rain drops.

Absolutely gorgeous cumulonimbus formations today, prolific, everywhere.

My bicycle looked good behind, and that is my mode of transportation, so she deserved a photo with the clouds.

The near shore water was incredibly clear today, there are probably over 65 Cassiopea jellyfish in that photograph. Quite stunning.

More beautiful nimbus. Wonderful reflections, all on my bike ride to and from home. Wouldn't get to stare at that from a car.

You know me... I like trees.
I'm in one, again.

One of my 365 accomplices rob, I think may have photographed some of the same ducks. Thought this was necessary.
There are actually 6 ducks in that photograph, two different species.

I felt like I was in traffic all day long, but my energy levels from yoga helped me make a mockery of all the smog producers burning rubber at every stop light trying to catch me. Oh and I didn't use two or three gallons of gas in the process, used 2 or 3,000 calories!

Finally, my friend Danny, makes absolutely fabulous art.

Today was an absolutely amazing, exercise and fun fulled busy day.
The clouds were great, college is great, my friends are great.
If I died tomorrow I would be pleased with what I am doing now and who
I choose to spend my time with. This is just a reminder to live each day
not necessarily as if it were your last, but at least feeling privileged that you got to live
such a day, and like most of us in America. Have access to so many overlooked luxuries,
like clean drinking water running from our taps.

This app and I have a love/hate relationship. We're on good terms now that I've upped my calories after unknowingly diving dangerously low at its recommendation.

You'll notice I logged dancing down at the bottom. Josh and I tried the Back 2 Bollywood workout tonight and it was so much fun. He was much better at making loud noises with the instructor than I was. I also apparently have no rhythm. Oh well! At least I got a good sweat in.

(Math and dancing are definitely two things I'm admittedly not good at.)

Simple and fun.

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup packed light-brown sugar
2 cups reduced-fat baking mix
1/3 cuup unsweetened cocoa powder
bananas
maple syrup

Preparation:

Combine milk, eggs and brown sugar in a blender; whirl until smooth. Sift together baking mix and cocoa powder. Add to blender and whirl to blend.

Heat a skillet over medium meat. Drop one generous tablespoon of batter for each silver-dollar sized pancake onto skillet. Cook until small bubbles form on top. FLip and cook one to two minutes more. Remove and keep warm until all pancakes are cooked.

Serve with maple syrup and bananas.

Makes 6 servings (4 pancakes each). 255 calories per serving.

Suggestion: refrigerate for up to 2 days; reheat in microwave before serving.

In the left hand part of the main container: white beans with basil and rosemary bread pieces.
In the right hand part, snap peas, baby carrots, blanched broccoli, and crustless sugar-free pumpkin pie.
Starting on the left, the extras are: sake-flavored gel; almond-and-milk gel; a mini-tangerine; a small container with balsamic vinaigrette for the bread, a little bottle of soy sauce, and a tea-flavored candy; and one more container with a homemade instant miso soup container and some grapes.
Nice lunch. My best guess, calorie-wise, is that it's in the neighborhood of 520 calories, all snacks included.

This is one of my desk drawers at work. Of the 6 drawers in my desk, 3 are mostly full of personal junk. I know that I also have a piece of tubing in this drawer somewhere, plus some sugar free hard candies and regular candy (individually wrapped Life Savers). And lots of cassette tapes, with no boombox to play them anymore.
